I was reading through this fun piece by Dime Magazine that surveyed several NBA players and their current pregame music playlist.  It gave some fun insight that helped us get to know our favorite players a little better.  Who doesn’t love things like that?

The piece featured players like Kenneth Farried, Jeff Teague, J.J. Redick, Mike Conley and many others.  Most lists  had about  3-5 songs consisting of artists like Drake, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, and Justin Timberlake.  (Shout-out to ALT-J for making the list!)

It was all pretty standard stuff, until we reached page 3 and one of my favorite players, Quincy Pondexter.  You see, Quincy has only one single song on his list.  That song is “Ho Hey” by The Lumineers.  No lie. (Click page 3 and find his name)  Let me repeat.

Currently, Quincy Pondexter is listening to “Ho Hey’ on repeat – over and over again –  to get himself pumped up before games.

To celebrate this discovery that has skyrocketed my already existing fanhood of Quincy to a whole new level, here is a music video featuring the Lumineers and Quincy Pondexter.  Enjoy!
