Ballerball The Vote — The Superstitious Fan Poll

salt

Confession: I’m a fan of the Dallas Mavericks.  This has a lot to do with my geographical location when I was growing up.

I’ve been going to Mavs games my whole life and  I always save the ticket stubs.  So last week I was flipping through old stubs and I noticed something.

These were the last 9 Mavs games I’ve been to:

—-

March 11, 2009 @ OKC – L (87-96)

January 30, 2010 @ Dallas vs. Portland – L (112-114)

Feb 16, 2010 @ OKC – L (86-99)

April 21, 2010 @ Dallas vs. Spurs – L (88-102 ) – PLAYOFFS -Only home game lost in series

January 20, 2011 @ Chicago – L (77-82)

March 18, 2011 @Dallas vs. Spurs – L (91-97)

December 18, 2011 @ Dallas vs. OKC – L (92-106) – PRESEASON –

April 21, 2012 – @ Chicago – L (83-93)

As soon as I saw that, my superstitious nature kicked in.  I began to wonder if my presence was the reason for these losses?  Surely not – but could it be?

I had not 1 – but 2 – Mavs games lined up this week.  I had the Lakers last Saturday and Bulls last night.  Here’s how those games turned out.

November 24, 2012 – @ Dallas vs. Lakers – L (89 – 115)

November 28, 2012 – @ Chicago – L (78-101)

Welp, considering the evidence, I think it’s pretty clear that I am terrible luck for the Mavs to have around.  But I love Mavs games.  They are my favorite.  I have so many memories.  Should I just give it all up for silly superstition?  I feel that as a fan, that it’s my duty to give them up.  I don’t know what to do.

What would you do?
