The questions for today’s MVP discussion come from MVP-candidate James Harden.

1. How has James Harden done enough to be the MVP?

Russell Westbrook: Have you done enough? Tim Duncan’s block suggests you haven’t done enough.

Anthony Davis: Well, if you think about it, he’s carried the Rockets after they failed to land Chris Bosh, lost Chandler Parsons to the Mavs, and lost Dwight Howard for most of the season to injury. That says you’re doing a lot.

James Harden: He’s doing everything an MVP needs to do.

LeBron James: Are we supposed to be speaking in first, second, or third person about James Harden?

Stephen Curry: Did anyone do more to kill Linsanity?

2. Can you elaborate on all the things Harden brings to the table as an MVP candidate?

Josh Smith: I’m very thankful to play with James, but I also have to give a lot of the credit for our team’s success to Coach McHale and to Dwight Howard. I might not have landed in Houston if not for Dwight.

Anthony Davis: Well, he’s just an offensive force. He gets to the paint and to the line. I’m not sure there’s a better scorer outside of him, Westbrook, Curry, and maybe a healthy KD. But I do find those other guys to be more aesthetically pleasing. Still, numbers are numbers.

James Harden: He’s doing everything an MVP needs to do.

Patrick Beverly: Jimmy’s a warrior. We rely on the Beard to lead us to wherever it is we’re going.

Trevor Ariza: I enjoy James Harden. Still, I wonder if he can lead a team the way Kobe can. You know, there are only like two guys on the Rockets with rings. I think it’s just me and Jason Terry. That’s where our leadership comes from.

3. Tell us more about James Harden’s MVP candidacy.

James Harden: He’s doing everything an MVP needs to do.

Jason Terry: One of the best players I’ve played with. In some ways, he reminds me of Dirk. I don’t know how many people would make that comparison, but there’s something a bit unorthodox about each that reminds me of the other.

James Harden: He’s doing everything an MVP needs to do.

Patrick Beverly: Sometimes I do wish he had a cooler celebration than eating from a bowl. That seems a bit too much like Goldilocks, and, in all honesty, she was just a housebreaker.

James Harden: He’s doing everything an MVP needs to do.

4. How has Harden improved his game this year in order to become the League’s MVP?

James Harden: He’s doing everything an MVP needs to do.

James Harden: He’s doing everything an MVP needs to do.

5. What’s a more powerful force in this world: James Harden or globalization?

(James Harden begins to devour James Harden. By interview’s end, all that’s left in a dark room is a Taco Bell burrito wrapper. Something in the dark belches, but no one’s there and no one hears a sound.)
