To Al or Whom It May Concern,

My name is Neil Sacks and I am the Vice President of Basketball Operations for the Los Angeles Clippers, an NBA franchise located in the downtown L.A. Live neighborhood.

As you may or may not know, the Clippers recently won the NBA’s Pacific Division 2012-2013 championship! As you also may or may not know, this is relatively unfamiliar territory for us: Due to a long series of misfortunes better not spelled out here, we have never won anything before. These are very exciting times!

As an added bonus, yesterday I received the pleasantly surprising news that we will soon be receiving a trophy to commemorate our accomplishment this season. While this is terrific news, it begged the question: Where should we keep it?

I spoke with my friend Mitch Kupchak, the General Manager of the Los Angeles Lakers (whom I believe you know), about this and he suggested we build a “trophy case” and recommended your services.

Mitch said the Lakers have long kept their trophies in a “trophy case” and relayed that you have helped them expand theirs throughout the years. He said you would have a clear sense of what would be appropriate for our needs.

I have spoken with our owner, Donald J. Sterling, about the idea of building a “trophy case” for the Clippers, and he is fully supportive. He has given me a budget of $1,000 for building and installing a custom structure. While I know you are in high demand, I hope this figure works within your cost parameters. If it is of any assistance, Mr. Sterling has also put forward man support in the form of former Point Guard Jeff McInnis and Small Forward Lamond Murray: Both being paid by the team through 2023 and we are actively looking to put them to work.

Thank you very much for your consideration and I eagerly await your reply.

Go Clippers!
