A Professional Look at the Milwaukee Bucks (while trying to avoid bringing up the Lakers)

Bucks Lakers

With all this Laker talk – it’s time to focus on a team that isn’t getting as much attention.

The Milwaukee Bucks are currently sitting pretty on that 8 seed in the East.  That seems like it’s been Milwaukee’s rightful place for the past several years.  Will this year be any different?  Can they finally break through and cause some noise?

AND HOW SAD ARE THE LAKERS RIGHT NOW!?

Sorry… I don’t know what that was.  Anyways.

There are several reasons why this year’s Bucks can be different than the Bucks of old.  They have two very dynamic point guards.

AND THE LAKERS HAVE NONE RIGHT NOW, UNLESS YOU WANT TO COUNT THAT CANADIAN IN THE FANCY SUIT.

Man.  I am so sorry.  As a basketball writer, it’s hard to not focus on what’s happening in LA.  But, there are other teams that need covering.  Back to the Bucks.

Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis are seeming to coexist better than anyone else expected.

SPEAKING OF COEXISTING.  HOW BOUT THOSE LAK…

Stop it, Jason.  Sorry folks.  The Bucks.  Focusing on the Bucks.

Take for example when the beloved Nets came to town.  Jennings and Ellis did more than co-exist.  They worked in tandem to out play the much larger guards in Brooklyn.  Jennings put up 26 points and Ellis put up 24.

POOR NUMBER 24!  HEY KOBE? WHAT’S THE DEAL, MAMBRO?

Alright… I’m just going to take a nap and try to sleep this off.

….

Ok.  I’m back.

Where were we.  Right.  Milwaukee.

That Nets/Bucks game showed that with those two guards playing the way they can, along with getting help of Mike Dunleavy, they can totally upset a higher seed.  I’m not saying they can win it all, but they can definitely surprise a few people.

SURPRISE!  THE LAKERS ARE A HUGE CLUSTER F…

Ok!  I’m very sorry folks.  This is just totally unprofessional on my part.  I’m an analyst, not a child.  Look at this graph below.  I’ve developed a unique formula  using arithmetic that shows how the Bucks are making a bigger impact than expected.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?!

WHAT IS HAPPENING?!

Shoot!  Ok, I’m very sorry.  I’m wrapping up quickly before I make another…

LAKERS STARTED OFF BETTER THAN WHEN THEY HAD KWAME BROWN!  FASCINATING!

Ah!

THE LAKERS AREN’T EVEN IN THE PLAYOFFS RIGHT NOW!

Uh… alright.  LAKERS.  Here we go.  LAKERS. The Bucks are better than we thought, the end.
